Allergy clinics
This directory lists private allergy clinics which are run by medically qualified doctors or nurses who have received specialist training in allergy and its management. The diagnostic tests and treatments that they may suggest will be evidence-based and scientifically proven.
There are many other practitioners who offer allergy testing and treatments, but who are not medically qualified, and some have no formal training whatsoever. The tests and treatments offered by these clinics may not always have a scientific basis nor be strongly evidence-based. Many of these practitioners however can be very helpful and effective for some people, but we at talkhealth feel that we cannot actively promote clinics that do not offer orthodox medical care.

Our clinic was founded in 2009, to provide a comprehensive, professional and personalised allergy diagnosis and management service, with patients requiring only one or two appointments.
Dr Crockett is the medical director. He has written several textbooks and over 200 articles to date, and has gained the specialist Certificate of Advanced Study in Allergy at Imperial College London. He is also an experienced practicing GP who has extensive experience and expertise in managing allergies, including asthma, hay fever, eczema, and food allergies.
OUR CLINIC
We aim to provide an efficient and comprehensive diagnostic and management service, helping anyone who has or thinks they may have allergies. We also provide information and advice on reducing the chances of a child or unborn baby of developing allergy.
Most patients will require skin prick tests to substances which might be causing problems. Some patients will be asked to bring samples of, for instance, food substances. All these results will be available by the end of the consultation. Many people may also require laboratory blood tests, the results of which will be available one week after testing.
You will receive a comprehensive written report which will summarise our consultation, results and diagnosis, including all the recommendations we agreed, and any follow-up as needed. You can also contact the clinic for up to one year after your last consultation. We will also send a copy of the report to your general practitioner if you agree.
