Infection-Allergy Link Questioned

Recent research by Dutch investigators at Erasmus University in the Netherlands has found that the idea of exposing young children to infections in order to protect them from allergies in later life, is wrong.

The study found that although children at nursery and in daycare were more likely to catch colds and other infections, they were just as likely to develop asthma and allergies as other children.
